By and large in the United States, we are spared many of the hardships endured by those in other parts of the world. For the most part our water is clean, our food safe and our way of life secure.
The same is not true for everyone, especially those displaced by war, natural disaster or other calamities. One area of the world most affected today is Turkey where almost 3 million Syrian refugees reside. The largest refugee camp is located very near the ancient city of Antioch where followers of Jesus were first called Christian.
Fr. Michael shares his own experience visiting Turkey recently and reminds us that as Christians we are called to care for the least among us so that we might know Jesus, and through Him, the Father who sent Him.
