“But what comes out of the man, that is what defiles him. From within the man, from his heart, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly. All these evils come from within and they defile.” (Mk7:20-23)
Sin enters into the world when Adam and Eve disobey God’s command. The Immaculate Conception celebrates that Mary is a second Eve. She is given a second chance for humanity. She is created as Adam and Eve were created but she chose to trust God and lived without sin and as a result allowed the Savior of the world to enter into the world.
